Maria is causing the Abbey far too much trouble. She just doesn't belong. So she escapes to a mountain meadow where the song she sings comes back in echoes from the surrounding hills. And as if in answer to her longing for something vital and new, she is sent off to be governess to Captain von Trapp's seven mischievous children. With youthful vitality and purity of heart, she teaches the children to sing bringing a fleeting moment of happiness in the shadow of the rise of the Third Reich. A summer musical for the whole family!
The Sound of Music runs June 2 to September 2, on Wednesdays - Saturdays!
Tickets are $95 and include a buffet meal at the Rosebud Mercantile. The buffet opens at 11:00am for matinees and 5:30pm for evenings.
