Our Scenes & Monologues guide will assist you in finding great resources for your upcoming audition. If you need more help, our librarians welcome any questions you may have regarding your search.
Our Online Catalogue
A great way to start your search is by accessing our online catalogue. To locate resources on scenes and monologues, try the below suggested subject headings (on the Library Home page, click the Library catalog link, choose Subject from the drop-down menu and type the suggested subject heading):
- scenes
- monologues
- solo performance
To expand your results, use the above subject heading as a Keyword on the Advanced Search page. Just follow the procedure above but exchange ‘Subject’ with ‘Keyword’. Also try searching on the keyword phrase ‘contains monologue material.’ Your search results will be more extensive and inclusive; however, you may find some items in this type of search not directly related to your topic. You may also limit your searches to the type of monolog or scene you want by using more search terms, selecting radio buttons, and/or including a date of publication.
