An indigenous woman wakes to a disturbing limbo plane with no memory of who she is, or how she died. Her only companions are an unstable asylum patient who dies in the 1930’s and an old friend from the past.

Playwright Bio:

Jennifer is a Metis artist from Treaty Six Territory. She/her is an actor, playwright, and director.  She has been in over 30 productions and various projects in theatre and film. Works include “Breaking the Curse” a 25th Street Theatre/ Ferre Play Theatre. Directed audiobooks for Penguin Random House Canada. Performed at Globe Theatre in Regina and directed “Cottagers & Indians” by Drew Hayden Taylor for Persephone Theatre. Curated for the Indigenous Cities Project through NAC Indigenous Theatre/Savage Society.  Wrote and directed for Burnt Thicket Theatre’s We Treaty People project, Co-directed “Dead Hand Signal” by Logan Martin-Arcand and recently directed episodes in Season 2 of Stories of the North and recently Jennifer was cast as Liset in “This is How We Got Here” by Keith Barker at Persephone Theatre. Next up, Gordon Tootoosis Nikaniwin Theatre, La Troupe du Jour and Never Never Shakespeare will be producing a Trilingual Adaptation of William Shakespeare’s King Lear in English, French and Cree and will be co-directed by Jennifer and Bob Wicks.
