“Theatre remains the only thing I understand. It is in the community of the theatre that I have my being. In spite of jealousies and fears, emotional conflicts and human tensions; in spite of the penalty of success and the dread of failure; in spite of tears and feverish gaiety -- this is the only life I know. It is the life I love."

~ Robert Helpman

THEATRE OF THE NEW HEART SPONSORS PLAYWORKS INK MASTERCLASS

Theatre Alberta is proud to announce that Theatre of the New Heart will sponsor the PlayWorks Ink 2013 Masterclass: Facing the Rewrite with Robert O'Hara.

Theatre of the New Heart is an Edmonton based company with an unusual edge. New Heart’s vision is to divide resources between an international facilitated lab for professional artists, Albertan co-productions and workshops.

Theatre of the New Heart

The creative process drives New Heart above all else. The company gives time and opportunity for artists to take risks, to create through play and to dialogue with other critical thinkers.

In 2012-13 New Heart produced “New Words, New Hearts, a reading series” and Interrarium. New Heart partnered with Theatre Yes to present The List and Maggie Tree to present Age of Arousal.
