HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY ARTSTREK AND DRAMAWORKS

We think 50 years of Artstrek and Dramaworks is reason to celebrate! The official 50th Anniversary celebration will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 in the lobby of the Timms Centre on the U of A campus from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with presentations beginning at 5:30 pm. Come out to show your support and share your memories. Email Paul Morgan Donald to RSVP. We hope to see you there!

125+ NEW BOOKS WAITING TO BE CATALOGUED!

New books are arriving in the library daily and cataloguing is slowly getting underway. To see what’s new, go to our online catalogue and click the blue New Items button in the upper right hand corner of the screen. You’ll get an alphabetized list of everything we’ve catalogued in the past 3 months. Remember we’re just starting to catalogue this year’s acquisitions, so the list will constantly change over the next few months.

ALBERTA TOURISM RECOGNIZES ARTS AND CULTURAL VISIONARY

 

 

THE CITADEL THEATRE ANNOUNCES DIRECTOR OF PLAY DEVELOPMENT

The Citadel Theatre is pleased to welcome renowned Canadian artist Brian Dooley as Director of Play Development, one of the five programs of the Citadel’s Robbins Academy.

Mr. Dooley will be responsible for sourcing and developing new plays and adaptations that will be produced on one of the Citadel’s three stages; forge new connections and relationships with senior and emerging playwrights locally, regionally, and nationally; work with organizations and producing theatres dedicated to the promotion, development, and production of new work; and mentor young playwrights in the Citadel Young Companies.
