Heritage Park Players present A Christkindl Tannenbaum Tale by Trevor Matheson, a 30 minute heart-warming journey about the pursuit of a German Christmas tradition. A memory play. Greta recounts her adventure of finding an evergreen for her family on the cold western prairie in 1910.

Characters (Each part is double cast):
1. Grandma Greta Weber, an elderly woman living in a retirement home. Age 90, (set in the 1987)
2. A young Realtor (set in the 1987)
3. Greta, a German immigrant living with her family in 1910, age 13
4. Greta’s Father, a farmer / A lonely fur trapper 
5. Greta’s Mother, a farm wife / Attendant (set in 1987)
6. Oscar / Mr. Corely, a surveyor
7. Mr. Rider, a Scottish owner of a dog sled

The auditions are happening in the Canmore Opera House at Heritage Park in 15 minute slots on:

Sunday October 9th from 6pm to 9pm
Tuesday October 11th from 5pm to 9pm

Rehearsals will be twice a week from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. I will pick the rehearsal days that work best for everyone after auditions. The parts are generally double cast.

Performances are in the Canmore Opera House on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on: November 19 & 20, 26 & 27 December 3 & 4, 10 & 11, 17 & 18, 2011.

SCENE STUDY (14-18 YRS)| Explore the works of the great contemporary Canadian, American and British playwrights while learning to create a compelling character through partnered scene work. Details: We constantly seek talented people to audition as hosts for training videos. These videos will be used by our clients to teach their teams about company products, services, and processes; to make company-wide announcements; as well as a host of other applications. These training videos are between 2 minutes and 30 minutes long.

QUALIFICATIONS

Auditions (Edmonton): Jubilations general auditions

Jubilations mounts 3 act musical comedies that are family friendly. It is a 9 month touring show:starting Winnipeg then to Edmonton and closes in Calgary.

Rehearsals are held in Winnipeg. Travel is not provided, however accommodations are. Auditions are held every 2-3 months for the upcoming season.

You will need to have prepared a two minute comedic monologue and two contrasting songs.

Multi-Youth Productions (MYP) is a highly successful teen theatre group aged 12- 19 that specializes in developing and presenting one hour original theatrical productions for school, conference and public audiences. The troupe’s mandate is to use theatre as a medium to create awareness of social issues and to promote healthy decision making for especially for youth.

MYP’s slogan is: “changing the world one performance at a time”. Using the unique Multi-Youth Productions’ Collective Playbuilding Process, one hour musical productions are researched, written, choreographed and per¬formed by the youth for youth audiences. At the end of each performance, the members of the troupe conduct a “talk-back” session to further clarify the issues presented in the play and to direct the audience to agencies that provide additional information or assistance.

Multi-Youth Productions has written and performed plays for schools, conferences and public audiences across the province of Alberta for 19 years. To ensure the credibility of their message to Youth, Multi-Youth Productions has forged successful partnerships with many of our Provincial Government’s ministries and other provincial organizations including Alberta Children’s Services, Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters, bullying.org., Alberta Alcohol Abuse Commission, Alberta Justice, and Alberta Agriculture. THE POSITION

PRIMARY ROLE
The Executive Assistant will manage and support the office of the Executive Director and the AB Board of Directors and also support the work of other AB Ballet Directors, the Artistic Director and Development activities as required. The EA will ensure availability to work a flexible schedule in support of the needs of the Executive Director, the Board and its committees. Specifically, the EA is accountable to:

• Execute a range of administrative duties as required to support the daily management of the organization by the Executive Director
• Act as liaison between the Executive Director, Artistic Director, Ballet administration, board of directors, external community stakeholders, sponsors, partners & donors
• Liaise with, and facilitate the needs of, members of the Board and all board committees
• Manage all correspondence and communications on behalf of the Executive Director, the Board and its committees – including committee and board meeting minutes
• Draft, review and edit reports, papers and various correspondence as required
• Maintain a schedule of activities and meetings for the Executive Director
• Manage and maintain all files, and executive AB material
• Provide support to School of Alberta Ballet staff when required

Rosebud Centre of the Arts is seeking an Executive Director.

The new Executive Director will be replacing Bob Davis who did a sterling job for eight years and who will be leaving the organization to take up new duties in tourism development in the Badlands region.

The Executive Director will lead a staff of 20 full-time and up to 50 part-time staff to achieve the mission of Rosebud Centre of the Arts as set by the Board of Directors.
