Cancellation Policy
Registered participants should inform Theatre Alberta as soon as possible if they cannot or decide not to attend Artstrek 2026. Withdrawals and associated refund requests must be made in writing to artstrek@theatrealberta.com.
Theatre Alberta will retain the non-refundable $50+GST registration fee for all students who withdraw their registration. Further refunds will be available on the following pro-rated scale:
If withdrawal occurs on or before May 15, a full refund less the registration fee will be available.
If withdrawal occurs between May 16 and May 28, a refund of 75% of the program fee will be available.
If withdrawal occurs between May 29 and June 10, a refund of 50% of the program fee will be available.
If withdrawal occurs on or after June 11, no refund will be available.
*EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Theatre Alberta will consider requests for partial refunds of program fees after the deadlines on a case-by-case basis for students withdrawing under exceptional circumstances. Examples of exceptional circumstances may include extreme or contagious illness, hospitalization, or death of a family member. Additional documentation will be required for students seeking consideration for a refund after the no refund deadline.
If you would like to request a refund due to exceptional circumstances, please contact artstrek@theatrealberta.com.
Please note that Theatre Alberta must provide participant numbers to Red Deer Polytechnic in early June. Once these numbers are submitted, we are responsible for all costs associated with each student’s accommodations and food—approximately 70-75% of the Artstrek program fee. Even in cases of exceptional circumstances, we cannot refund these costs for students who withdraw from the program after the no refund deadline.
Theatre Alberta is a registered charity and not-for-profit organization, and we make every effort to ensure that access to our programs is affordable for all Albertans.
