Director Nominations and Elections
Theatre Alberta members in good standing can express interest in standing for election to the Board of Directors by applying in writing to the President at least 30 days before the Annual General Meeting (usually mid-October). We are typically recruiting much earlier than this though, so early conversations and applications are encouraged! Nomination letters must be signed by the candidate and two more Theatre Alberta members in good standing. Our by-laws require that Theatre Alberta’s Board of Directors reflect Alberta’s regional diversity and we strive to maintain equal representation from each of our three constituencies: educational theatre, community theatre, and professional theatre. Directors typically serve two consecutive two-year terms.
