Theatre Alberta 2021 AGM

Please mark your calendars for Monday, October 18, 2021, and plan to join us digitally, from the safety and comfort of your hometowns. The meeting will start at 7:00pm and we’ll aim to wrap up by 8:00pm. (This is also municipal general election day in Alberta, so please don’t forget to vote!)

Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, holding this year’s AGM digitally continues to be in the best interests of everyone’s health and safety. We will be using the Zoom virtual meeting platform again this year, and are committed to ensuring any member who wants to attend and participate is able to do so. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom or have limited computer or internet access, please contact us as soon as possible and we will work with you to facilitate your attendance and participation. Participation via Zoom’s desktop or mobile application is recommended, but participation via landline telephone can also be arranged.

Only members in good standing will be able to attend and participate in the meeting proper, to facilitate accurate voting. Group members, as always, may send a single representative to vote on any/all motions on behalf of the group (*see additional information for group members below). After we’ve attended to the formal business of the AGM, we’ll provide additional time for conversation, questions, camaraderie, and community.

To ensure everyone in attendance is a member in good standing, members who RSVP will receive the Zoom link shortly before the meeting, and are not permitted to share the link with others. Everyone who RSVPs will also receive the meeting materials a few days in advance.

*Important note for group members: the AGM notice will be sent to the person who currently has voting rights for your group. If you wish to send a different representative you must officially designate them by informing Dennie Hamaluik, Office and Membership Coordinator, at [email protected].
