Call for Submissions (Edmonton): 2027 Spring Musical Production – ELOPE Musical Theatre

ELOPE is seeking proposals for our Spring 2027 Production! Final dates are TBD, but will be in May or June at the Timm’s Centre on the U of A Campus.

ELOPE Musical Theatre (Ensemble for Lyrical Operetta Productions Edmonton) has been producing musical productions in Edmonton for over 40 years. Our aim is to provide musical theatre opportunities for a diverse cross section of the community, from theatre students and professionals to community players and people looking for a new challenge. ELOPE is known for producing large-scale, big cast productions. We are not limited to this and are open to other formats. ELOPE is a non-profit society and fully volunteer run organization, and cannot engage equity members.

WHAT TO PREPARE
Identify a Director, as well as Music Director and Choreographer, if possible. Include relevant experience of team members.

  • A short, written summary of your vision for the show, cast and costume needs
  • Any extraordinary budget requirements
  • Overview of technical, rehearsal, and physical set needs, when applicable.
  • Request a perusal copy of the script if necessary

  • CRITERIA FOR APPROVAL
  • Production has broad-based appeal to community and ELOPE audience, and potentially an opportunity to expand our audience.
  • Appropriate for directors, cast, and crew available to ELOPE.
  • Likelihood of being profitable or revenue neutral.
  • Artistic value for community and ELOPE membership.
  • Provides volunteer opportunities
