A group of mystery enthusiasts gather on a remote island for their annual Halloween themed murder mystery party. Each year, the winner of the party gets to choose whatever their prize will be. This year’s winner requests specific favours from each of the other guests. As the evening goes on, bodies begin to drop. The group must scramble to figure out who the killer is…but they’re on a remote island. Which means that the killer can only be one of them…

We are currently looking to cast:

  • Charles: A successful mystery novelist. Plays Konrad, a surgeon, in the mystery game.
  • Willy: Friendly former football player. Plays Ernie, the mystery game’s murder victim.
  • McKenzie: Witty, extroverted fashion model. Plays Evelyn, a politician, in the mystery game.
  • Valerie: Smart, savvy business person. Sister to Henri. Plays Mrs. McKnight, a maid, in the mystery game.
  • Henri: Shy, easily intimidated business person. Sister to Valerie. Plays O’Karma, a medium, in the mystery game.
  • Elwood: Confident CEO. Plays Father Gerry Merryweather, a member of the clergy, in the mystery game.

Content Warning: violence depicted on stage as well as implied. Adultery and blackmail discussed.

Cold Reads: We will send you sides about a week before the auditions for you to review. You will be in a group with other auditioners and will be reading together. The sides do not need to be memorised but we do ask that you are familiar with them.

Rehearsal Schedule:
While we may have one or two rehearsals before or during the Edmonton Fringe Festival (most likely first read and potentially a rehearsal for some table work), rehearsals will be starting in earnest the week of August 26th. We will be rehearsing 3 to 4 times a week based on need and schedules.

Headshots and résumés are recommended, but not required.

Prior to your audition, you will be sent an online form for completion to gather more information, including your headshot, resume, and any potential conflict dates you have within the rehearsal and performance schedule.
