Mental Health First Aid Training with The AFC

Mental health first aid is the support provided to people who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis. Mental health first aid skills can be as vital as knowing CPR during a cardiac emergency. The AFC is working towards a time when someone is trained in mental health first aid at every set, stage, venue, and workplace in the industry. Let’s make mental well-being a priority!

This training is delivered on Zoom over two days. Learn more and register at https://afchelps.ca/mhfa. Upcoming course dates:

  • June 26 & 27, 2024, 12-4 pm ET
  • July 10 & 11, 2024, 12-4 pm ET
  • August 14 & 15, 2024, 12-4 pm ET
  • September 11 & 12, 2024, 12-4 pm ET
  • October 9 & 10, 2024, 12-4 pm ET
  • November 13 & 14, 2024, 12-4 pm ET

The cost of training is $200 per participant. Group courses are available upon request. Reach out to The AFC directly if you’d like to train your team.

Please note: Active IATSE Members and those working under IATSE agreements may be eligible for reimbursement through the IATSE Training Trust Fund Certification Reimbursement Program upon proof of payment and successful completion of The AFC Mental Health First Aid Course.
