The Grindstone Theatre School is thrilled to host a series of workshops to step up your drag game at Grindstone & Fruit Loop’s Pride Block Party!

SATURDAY JUNE 1ST 2024

Drag Queen Makeup Tutorial with Gogo Fetch
12:00-2:00pm at the Grindstone Bistro (10019 81 Ave)
Learn the fundamentals of a fierce eye, luscious lashes and lips, and a snatched drag contour from Edmonton’s own Gogo Fetch! They will demonstrate and guide participants through a tutorial that breaks down the essential components of drag make-up, how to create a feminine contour, and how to express your unique style in your drag makeup!

Drag King Makeup Tutorial with Orpheus
2:30-4:30pm at the Grindstone Bistro (10019 81 Ave)
Master the basics of Drag King makeup! Orpheus will share tips, tricks, and all the products you need to paint a drag face. They will discuss the principles behind contouring for a male illusion and they will share a guide for masculine contouring patterns, and explore how different shapes convey different things about your drag persona.

SUNDAY JUNE 2ND 2024

Drag Street Arts with Amelia Altmiks
1:30-3:30pm at the Grindstone Studio (9562 82 Ave)
Queer Street Art movement class will be a movement and educational session focusing on the styles of Drag, Ballroom, and Gogo. In the session we will be discussing these queer street arts as a way queer people have thrived, survived and shined!
