Jobs (Edmonton): Lighting Designer – Light in the Dark Theatre

Light in the Dark Theatre is looking to hire a lighting designer for our upcoming production of WROL (Without Rule of Law) by Michaela Jeffery.
This production will be performed at the 2024 Edmonton Fringe Festival in one of the assigned lottery venues.

Synopsis: While preparing for survival in the post-collapse society they anticipate inheriting, a rogue troupe of Girl Guides sneak out to investigate an ominous hidden lair they believe belongs to a mysterious local cult that vanished over a decade ago. They search for vital clues and signs of life, but what they discover changes everything — eighth grade will never be the same! Part Judy Blume, part Rambo, this darkly comic coming-of-age story is for the young woman inside of us who has been told that she is ‘too much,’ that what she fears is illegitimate, or that what she has to say is less important than keeping the peace.

The rehearsal schedule for this production will be as follows:

July 9-11: 6pm-10pm
July 15-18: 6pm-10pm
July 22-26: 6pm-10pm
July 29-August 2: 6pm-10pm
August 5-9: 6pm-10pm
August 12-14: 6pm-10pm
August 15-25: Performances (Times will vary due to Fringe performance scheduling.)

Rehearsal Location: University of Alberta – Fine Arts Building
