TOOLS & TRAINING FROM AN EXPERT
Hunter Gates holds a PhD in Theatre Philosophy, an MA Sociology/Criminology, a BA in Cultural Anthropology, and a BAA in Radio and Television. She has explored Physical Lecoqian Pedagogy and Humanitarian Clown work for over a quarter of a century, and has been a stunt performer in film for almost 40 years.

Hunter Gates is the Director of and principal instructor at The Hunter Gates Academy, President of Comedy for Communities International, and VP of the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce.

Her impression on her students of mask, puppetry, cirque, stage combat, and devised theatre is recognisable in theatre festivals and stagings around the world. Well versed in the history of the human condition, Hunter Gates is an internationally acclaimed instructor who amplifies potential in storytelling. Students acquire tools to enhance artistic expression or resolve grievances and traumas, as well as a structure that can be used in their own teachings.
