THE ANTYSSEY
A theatre for young audience musical

Director Nikki Loach and Musical Director Joel Schaefer are holding auditions for select performers in Quest Theatre’s Spring 2024 Elementary School Tour, THE ANTYSSEY, a musical by Joel Crichton and Richard Lee Hsi. Preliminary Rehearsal and School Touring Dates Rehearsal Dates (12 days) March 25 to April 7, 2024 9:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, Sunday off, Rehearsal Location: TBD Tour Dates (5 weeks) April 8 to May 12, 2024

Quest prioritizes Alberta performers, with a special dedication to Calgary artists. Artists who reside outside of Alberta need not apply unless they have a place to stay in Calgary while on tour.

Submission Information
If you would like to audition, please send an electronic resume, and headshot to Artistic Director Nikki Loach at artistic-director@questtheatre.org. You will then receive the audition material and access to a sign-up link to choose an audition slot convenient for you on the audition day.

Submission deadline has been EXTENDED to November 20th, 2023.

Auditions will take place Monday November 27th, 2023. 15-minute slots will be available between 10:00 pm – 4:45 pm. Candidates will be expected to prepare material from the production. Please note that the auditions will be in-person in Calgary. Online auditions are possible, but not preferred, and will be considered upon request, largely for accessibility reasons. As Quest Theatre is a professional touring company, artists must perform during the day and cannot be enrolled as full or part-time students as of September 2023.

We are open to inspiration from any artist who is passionate about sharing their love of theatre with young people. Quest Theatre is a member of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres and operates within the jurisdiction of the Canadian Theatre Agreement. Equity members cast in any production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
