NEW THIS FALL! StoryBook Theatre is thrilled to launch the newest branch of our Spotlight programming designed to introduce students to everything that happens behind the scenes in a musical theatre production!
In this INTRO TO TECHNICAL THEATRE course, students will get an overview of all components of Theatre Tech including: lighting, sound, set design, props, stage management, AND MORE!
DATES: Saturdays @ 9am to 12pm, November 7 to December 16
PRICE: $250 per student
AGE & CLASS SIZE: Ages 11-17, maximum 15 students
The first three classes of this course will be a Technical Theatre overview where students will do activities to help them learn about the different areas of Theatre Tech. After these classes, students will choose an area of Theatre Tech that they are interested in exploring further and then they will spend the final 4 classes working in that area backstage with our Spotlight performance students for their Dress Rehearsals and Final Performances.
Taught by experienced industry professionals, this is a great course for any student who loves theatre but may not want to be right in the spotlight, or for performers who want to learn more about what happens backstage!
