
Our mandate is producing work that examines how issues of conscience, ethics and morality have been tackled in classical and contemporary theatre. All of our work is chosen with the intent of provoking conversation. Our programming focuses on drawing in the audience
Our Ideal Board Secretary:
- English speaking and writing proficiency. Organization skills. Self-motivated.
- Aptitude in email and text communications, Google Drive and Word etc.
- Have previous board/not-for-profit experience and business acumen.
- Passionate about the performing arts in Calgary and willing to help shape the future of DIY Theatre.
- Alberta resident, preferably within the Calgary area.
Candidate Responsibilities/Obligations:
- They are asked to attend DIY Theatre productions and special events
- Spend about 4 hours per month preparing for meetings.
- Meet with the board once a month online or in person.
- Record accurate meeting minutes. Upload/email within a week after the meeting date.
- Send out meeting agendas, collate RSVP’s, ensure we have a quorum.
- Other administrative tasks as needed by Board operations.
