AUDITIONS: GRINDSTONE THEATRE SCHOOL’S COMMUNITY PRODUCTION – FALL 2023 SEMESTER
Overview:
Join Grindstone Theatre School this Fall Semester in the second round of our Community Production! This class offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a FULL theatrical production! Classes will take place once a week for 8 weeks, and conclude in two public performances. Students will learn what it means to be a part of a full production and be taught what is expected of cast members in a rehearsal hall. This class will have two casts: Cast A will rehearse on Tuesdays, Class B will rehearse on Thursdays. Both casts will act as understudies for the other cast and both casts will be performing the same show. The class schedule is available below!
Each class will consist of instruction and rehearsal of the play. Students that are cast in the show MUST have completed Grindstone’s 100 and 200 level acting courses or equivalent experience elsewhere.
The class will require an audition. These auditions will consist of 1-2 short scenes (sent to you ahead of time) read in an easy-going atmosphere, an interview portion and a physical movement portion. Auditions are often uncomfortable and pressurized. We will do our best to create a relaxed environment for our auditioners.
Auditions will take place at The Grindstone Studio (9562 82 Ave NW) on Friday August 11 from 5pm – 9:30PM and Saturday August 12 from 12:00 – 4:30PM. To select your time – please click the AUDITIONS button at the bottom of the post!

- Class price: $700 (including tax)
- Worried about the price? Grindstone Theatre School offers payment plans!
- The cost of this class covers the cost of the rights to the show, gives the class a budget for props/costumes/set and allows us to hire a professional director and technician for the final shows.
