Call for Instructors:
Sleeping Giants Theatre is a new performing arts school, located in Cochrane, AB. We are dedicated to bringing quality theatre education and experiences to the people of Cochrane and surrounding areas.
We are now hiring qualified instructors for our upcoming classes!
If you are interested in teaching any of the following classes, please send along your resume and a letter of intent to sleepinggiantstheatre@gmail.com. Please include “Instructor Application” in the subject line, and indicate which classes you are interested in teaching. We will be accepting applications until all positions are filled.
If you are interested, but unsure if you can commit at this time, please still apply! We would love to create a roster of potential substitute teachers as well.
We are also hoping to run some weekend workshops in the fall. If there is something related to the performing arts that you would love to teach (stage combat, playwrighting, directing, clown, etc.) please get in touch and we can set something up!
Please note, we are dedicated to paying our artists well for their time and expertise. We also understand that most who apply will be commuting from outside of Cochrane, so we will be factoring that in to the rate of pay for instructors. We are open to negotiations on rate of pay.
We are actively seeking submissions from artists of all backgrounds, abilities, and ethnicities as we are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion within this selection process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have professional training or extensive professional experience in the performing arts.
