What’s On (Red Deer): Solo Show Festival – Prime Stock Theatre

Prime Stock Theatre is excited to announce their inaugural Solo Show Festival to be held at Scott Block Theatre in downtown Red Deer.

The Festival will open April 13th on the mainstage with Sylvan Lake Theatre’s production of Fully Committed, by Becky Mode.

Red Deer’s sensational actor/improvisor Ash Mercia and renowned director Tanya Ryga are revisiting the script and its more than 30 wildly diverse and hilarious characters. There are only 4 performances!

In week 2 of the festival TWO one-act plays will be presented as a double bill playing on the Centennial Stage at the Scott Block beginning April 20th. The Commandment written and performed by Phil Rickaby is brought to us by Simple Truth Theatre. This dark comedy explores what happens when an angry atheist is chosen by God to deliver his next commandment.

Searching for Marceau, written and performed by Trevor Copp of Tottering Biped Theatre, is a hybrid of theatre and mime that has enchanted audiences and critics wherever it has played, including winning The Cutting-Edge Award at the Toronto Fringe Festival.
