After nearly 20 years of saving and searching, Rapid Fire Theatre has found a place to call home, a place where we can bring all of our programming & stories under one roof. That place is TELUS’ Strathcona Exchange in the heart of Edmonton’s Old Strathcona theatre district.
This project has been made possible with the support of our monthly donors, a number of large grants, and our own savings. These funds allowed us to commit to the first phase of our $4.5M project and engage both Delnor Construction and Group2 Architecture. Even with these funds, we have removed a number of non-essential items from the project scope until further funds are confirmed. This list includes stage curtains, loose furniture, decorative lighting, as well as backstage furniture and fixtures.
To help us cross the finish line we have launched our Capital Campaign – Fuel the Fire. As we approach the end of phase one, we are giving an extra push to our campaign in hopes that we can reintroduce some of these items back into our scope in time for our projected Grand Opening in Spring 2023.
