Imagine Performing Arts is excited to continue telling great stories – and creating great theatre – with our production of THE RAILWAY CHILDREN! This classic tale will run from April 21 – 30, 2023 at The Lantern Church – the site of Imagine’s highly acclaimed production of The Woman in Black.
E. Nesbit’s much-loved classic, The Railway Children, has delighted generations since its first publication in 1906 and Mike Kenny’s wonderfully faithful and imaginative adaptation takes audiences young and old alike on an enchanting journey of imagination and reality.

When Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis move to rural Yorkshire with their mother following the imprisonment of their father, they are forced to face the anxieties and exhilarations of growing up in order to learn what really matters. A story of Edwardian England on the brink of change – a world that is insecure and hard, but one filled with love, resilience and humanity – and always running through it is the railway, in particular the 9.15 to London.

Produced by special arrangement with Plays for New Audiences.
