Foote in the Door Productions brings you the classic Tony Award winning musical Kiss Me, Kate. Combining the humorous genius of Cole Porter’s music with the wit and wile of Shakespeare, it is a musical retelling of the classic battle-of-the sexes story The Taming of the Shrew, filled with romance, comedy, energetic dancing, and backstage hijinks.
The story follows a theatre company as they attempt to put on an ambitious musical version of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. It’s stars, ex-couple Lilli Vanessi and Fred Graham, struggle to keep the show together as the lines between their on and offstage relationships begin to blur amidst the backstage chaos, confusion, and comedy. Kiss Me, Kate features a stellar score that includes such standards as “Another Openin’ Another Show”, “Too Darn Hot”, “So In Love”, “Brush Up Your Shakespeare” and more. Not to be missed!
