Auditions (Leduc): Crimson Cap Ladies Haunted Adventure – Leduc Drama Society

Auditions!

First off, congratulations to our fall show director, Peter Cameron!

Leduc Drama Society is seeking female actors for a full length comedy. Our fall show is called Crimson Cap Ladies Haunted Adventure written by Chris McKerracher. Rehearsals will run from September to November with performances at the Leduc Drama Society playhouse in mid November. Auditions will be held the week of August 22-27. A 1-2 minute prepared monologue is preferred, but cold read auditions will also be available upon request given the short notice.

We are casting for the following parts:

  • Esther: Self-important, prim, uber-serious leader of the club. 60-ish
  • Grace: Acerbic, with overtones of snark and bitterness. 65-ish
  • Leona: Blithely wealthy, frugal unless tipsy. Cheery. Easily led. 70-ish
  • Millie: New Age hippy with an Old Age Pension. Deaf-ish, addled, forgetful. 90
  • Hortense: Crimson Cap Regional director, busybody, bossy. 50+
  • Amy: A young runaway with parkour skills. 18-20 (must have physical agility and be willing to do stunts on stage.)

Casting will be open for adult women of all ages but we would like to encourage age appropriate actors to fill the roles where possible.

Auditions will take place on Monday, August 22 and Tuesday the 23rd at the Leduc Drama Society Playhouse, located at 4701A 44th Street. Callbacks will be later in the week and dependant on actor availability.

There will be some accommodation for online auditions but in person auditions are preferred.

Please contact director Peter Cameron at theroguesparrow@gmail.com to book your audition time.
