The Moors are bleak and vast, and the Mastiff is all alone. He heard the tale of “God” in the sky from his late master, but doesn’t put much stock in such a being until an answer to his prayers falls out for the sky in the form of a Moor-Hen. She is flighty, instinctual, and vibrant, everything the Mastiff is not. They form a tentative and strange bond as they struggle with love, control, and the universal need to belong. Presented by 9.35 Theatre Productions, this absurd and philosophical performance is an excerpt from The Moors by Jen Silverman.
