General Accountant

The Citadel Theatre, one of Canada’s largest and busiest professional, not-for-profit theatre companies and facilities, has an opening for a General Accountant. We are seeking a highly collaborative individual who possess excellent communication skills, has strong analytical skills and is a problem solver. This is a Canada Summer Job position starting on June 27, 2022 and running for 8 weeks. The successful candidate work 35 hours per week with a salary of $18.00/hour.

Function/Role

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the General Accountant is an integral part of the Finance department. The successful applicant will provide support to our Accounting team in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, daily revenue audits, and bank & accounts reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Accounting or Finance program.
• Meet the eligibility criteria as outlined in the Canada Summer Job Grant Agreement.
• Above average computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Effective organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with Sage 300 is an asset.
• Ability to work independently, be self motivated and able to prioritize work effectively.
