Workshop (Calgary): African Dance Workshop – StoryBook Theatre

AFRICAN DANCE WORKSHOP

Improve strength, flexibility, coordination and control while experiencing the interaction between rhythm and motion by getting the whole body moving! This class begins with a series of warm-ups and isolations to familiarize students with dynamic movement and prepare the body for choreography. Participants can expect a variety of lively current African rhythms from Nigeria, Congo, Ghana and Ivory Coast. It’s time to dance to the rhythms of the world!
