What’s On (Edmonton): Tune to A – Expanse Festival

“I don’t want my friends to take care of me… I just want them to be my friends!”

Join us for the World Premiere of Tune to A at Azimuth Theatre’s Expanse Festival!
Written by Carly Neis, Cameron Kneteman, and Cynthia Jimenez-Hicks
Directed by Patricia Cerra

Ava (Carly Neis) is a junior high student with cerebral palsy and a love of music. Pressure from the school’s administration, rickety elevators, and a band teacher (Graham Mothersill) who’s still learning how to help are all making it hard for Ava to do her best. Meanwhile, her new BFF, is Jordan (Michelle Diaz), is trying hard – like, super hard – to be Ava’s best possible ally. Can their friendship help Ava find her voice when it matters most?
