About The Play:
Greece Is The Word is a parody, the 50’s musical Grease set in Ancient Greece. Teenage hi-jinx started a long time ago!
Two modern teens David and Mandy, are in the detention room. David bad mouths Zeus, but Zeus was listening. He transports them back in time to ancient Greece, to Athens Pi High. There they meet all the classic mythological characters. David trying to impress declares himself Davidius, the god of hockey. But that gets him the attention of Ares, the god of war. Mandy has gotten the attention of Hercules. Ares has vowed to destroy Davidius at the Olympics. Aphrodite has fallen for Davidius. Together she and Mandy enlist the help of Medusa the beauty school teacher to save the day. But have they altered history?
