The Board of Directors of L’UniThéâtre, Alberta’s only professional Francophone live theatre company, would like to welcome Steve Jodoin as the interim Artistic Director and Co-General Manager. In mid-2022 the Board will undertake a search for a full-time artistic director and co-general manager.
A well-known actor in the francophone and anglophone theatre community, and familiar with L’UniThéâtre, Steve will oversee programming for the current 2021-2022 season. Steve was recently the director of this season’s PINS and a member of the creative team for Le Rire. As well as being a professional theatre actor and director, Steve is a Founder and Executive Producer with Production Loft, an Edmonton and Calgary-based award-winning production company specializing in documentary and non-fiction programming since 2015.
Previous Artistic Director and Co-General Manager Vincent Forcier has stepped down from his role at L’UnThéâtre to pursue personal projects. He will continue to collaborate with L’UniThéâtre as an actor. The Board sincerely thanks Vincent for the time and energy he has devoted to taking the helm of L’Unithéâtre during the pandemic. They wish him every success in his personal projects.
Le conseil d’administration de L’UniThéâtre, la seule compagnie professionnelle de théâtre francophone de l’Alberta, souhaite la bienvenue à Steve Jodoin à titre de directeur artistique et co-directeur général par intérim. À la mi-2022, le Conseil entreprendra la recherche d’un directeur artistique et co-directeur général à temps plein.
Artiste bien connu du milieu théâtral francophone et anglophone, familier de L’UniThéâtre, Steve supervisera la programmation de la saison 2021-2022 en cours. Steve était récemment le metteur en scène de la pièce PINS et membre de l’équipe créative du Le Rire. En plus d’être comédien et metteur en scène dans le monde du théâtre professionnel, Steve est co-fondateur et producteur exécutif de Production Loft, une société de production primée basée à Edmonton et à Calgary et spécialisée dans la programmation documentaire et non-fiction depuis 2015.
L’ancien directeur artistique et co-directeur général Vincent Forcier a quitté son poste à L’UniThéâtre pour poursuivre des projets personnels. Il continuera de collaborer avec L’UniThéâtre en tant qu’artiste. Le Conseil remercie sincèrement Vincent pour le temps et l’énergie qu’il a consacrés à la direction de L’Unithéâtre pendant la pandémie. Ils lui souhaitent beaucoup de succès dans ses projets personnels.
