Heaven draws on the little-known true history of Black pioneers in the prairies. In 1927, Charlotte arrives in rural northern Alberta to work as a schoolteacher and find her own small piece of heaven. A prairie story of resilience, love and baseball.

Location: Amber Valley Alberta was a real community of Black pioneers who fled brutal racism in their southern US home territories when those territories became the state of Oklahoma in 1907.
