Jupiter Theatre is excited to announce the third and final project in development with the company this fall: Imperfect Symmetry by Constantine X. Anastasakis! Imperfect Symmetry is a hybrid live/digital workshop of an original science-fiction play running November 19th, 20th, and 21st in the West Village Theatre. This presentation is a work-in-progress reading with workshop-level technical elements involved.
The play is set in mankind’s technologically cutting-edge future, where clones—matured in growth tanks and birthed to serve as public body doubles for their socially elite originals—are at the forefront of a new kind of slavery. The originals and their respective clones seem to coexist amicably but everything changes when the originals ask one clone to be a surrogate and carry a child for them.
