Alberta Musical Theatre Company is seeking a musical theatre performer with piano and/or guitar experience to audition for the upcoming season. AMTC is currently casting for an in-person school tour of “Hansel and Gretel,” by Farren Timoteo and Jeff Unger, which is intended to run from December 2021 to June 2022, if restrictions allow.
How to submit:
To submit, please send an email containing your contact information, a description of your experience and training, and a link to your audition material to [email protected]. Videos will be viewed and appraised by Artistic Director, Farren Timoteo and General Manager/Musical Director, Mackenzie Tennessen. A resume is not required for the first stage of auditioning.
What to Submit:
We request that audition performers prepare and perform one full musical theatre ballad under four minutes that showcases their voice and instrumental ability. We also request a short introduction that describes a bit about who you are, including your training and experience. Farren Timoteo is available for questions and consultation regarding the audition. Additionally, the audition rubric being used to appraise audition participants is available upon request.
Before the pandemic, AMTC would perform for more than 90,000 Albertan students each season. We strongly encourage and enthusiastically welcome artists of all cultures and ethnicities, LGBTQIA2S+ artists, and artists with disabilities to express interest in our auditions.
