JOB SUMMARY:
The focus of this position is to coordinate all marketing efforts of RFT, including social media, signage, print, media and our website with a goal of increasing ticket sales, workshop registrations, event bookings and audience engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:
- Coordinate strategic goals with the General Manager
- In collaboration with the General Manager and Director of Finance, develop all marketing budgets
- In collaboration with the Artistic Director, curate content for RFT’s social media channels and blog
- Coordinate all in-venue marketing materials (signage, pre-show video)
- Coordinate all season marketing materials
- Coordinate all special event marketing materials
- Write and distribute press releases
- Develop and execute social media campaigns that; support audience development, showcase accurate information, engages audience leading to measurable action
- Weekly website maintenance (WordPress), including programming updates and search engine optimization
- Develop and distribute all e-newsletters
- Support the work of RFT’s marketing contractors (web developer, social media experts, graphic designers, videographers, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An applicable diploma or degree in marketing, communications or arts administration
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrable high proficiency in writing for media, including print and digital, promotional, advertising, storytelling, and brand journalism
- Experience working with; Printers / Suppliers, Various social media platforms / Scheduling apps, Google Suite, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite, and WordPress
- Showpass ticketing integration is an asset
- Knowledge of Rapid Fire Theatre’s programming
