Vertigo Theatre (Calgary) – rehearsals begin February 8th, 2022; opens March 10th, 2022; closes April 3rd, 2022.

PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Monday morning, the 1st of December, 1895. Location: 221b Baker Street, London, aka the home of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Long time landlady Mrs. Edith Hudson asks, “Sherlock, have you seen my thimble anywhere?” This simple and most mundane question casts the residents of Baker Street down a rabbit hole of adventure. Along the way Scotland Yard will intrude, a most surprising visitor will drop in, and Mrs. Hudson must discover her inner detective. Does she have what it takes to solve the case of The Vanishing Thimble?

ROLE TO BE CAST

MARY MORIARTY  Woman 30 – 40yrs

Cunning, intelligent, and driven. She will go to any lengths for revenge. She can be brash and erratic, is scared of very little.

INSPECTOR MACDONALD Man 30 – 40yrs

An Inspector who takes his job seriously and goes by the book. Patient and collected with Holmes in spite of Sherlock’s playful nature.

AUDITION DATES

October 13th and October 14th via Zoom video call.

CASTING PROCESS

Vertigo Theatre has a responsibility to create work spaces where people are comfortable in a creation process, and can be themselves in every capacity. We would like to request a submission package consisting of:
● headshot
● resume

*We will not be collecting hard copies of headshots and resumes at the audition. The audition panel will receive them all electronically.
*Headshots do not need to be from a professional photographer but must be a clear photo of you.
