AMTC is currently casting 3 non-equity performers and 1 piano player for an in-person school tour of Hansel and Gretel,”by Farren Timoteo and Jeff Unger, which is intended to run from December 2021 to June 2022, if restrictions allow.

Rehearsals – November 23-December 10, 2021*
Possible Public Performances – December 10-12, 2021*
School Rehearsals – December 14-17, 2021*
School Tour – January 3-June 2022*

How to submit:
To submit, please send an email containing your contact information, a description of your experience and training, and a link to your audition material to [email protected] before or by the deadline: 11:59 pm on September 20th, 2021.

Videos will be viewed and appraised by Artistic Director, Farren Timoteo and General Manager/Musical Director, Mackenzie Tennessen. A resume is not required for the first stage of auditioning. Performers who previously submitted to the General Auditions in the spring are not required to re-submit and will remain under consideration.

What to Submit:
We request that audition performers prepare and perform one full musical theatre ballad under four minutes, as well as a comedic monologue. Piano players are required to play two contrasting musical theatre pieces, each under 4 minutes. We also request a short introduction that describes a bit about who you are, including your training and experience. Farren Timoteo is available for questions and consultation regarding the audition. Additionally, the audition rubric being used to appraise audition participants is available upon request.

Before the pandemic, AMTC would perform for more than 90,000 Albertan students each season.
