OffBook Acting studio very proud to present a 3 day workshop with Hollywood and Canadian Film/TV Dialect and acting Coach Tony Alcantar Sept 24-26!!
We continued to push through with our workshops through the pandemic and now we will finally be having our first IN-PERSON CLASS since March 2019!!
When we are auditioning for American film and tv, it is absolutely MANDATORY to adjust our work to ensure we are using the Standard American accent. A Canadian accent is an absolute deal breaker the large majority of the time.
Tony has worked with such Hollywood stars as Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry, Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn and many, many more!
Through the weekend, Tony will emphasize the importance of this and explain steps to remediate it. We will work with Tony through exercises and audition work to help to fix our Canadian accents that we usually aren’t even aware of!
Having worked on some of the biggest shows around: FARGO, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS, SEE, MOTHERLAND, BIG SKY, THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY, LOST OLLIE and more, Tony is recommended by Canada’s top casting directors and there is no one better to help fix and correct your dialect and accent for American film/tv!!
*All provincial and local health regulations will be followed, and Proof of Vaccination is required.
*Please not that as this is a dialect, speech, and Standard American Accent class, participation will require that you are comfortable NOT wearing a mask for the duration of the workshop.
$290 for the three day workshop
Please email resume to email@example.com to hold your spot!
