Twelfth Night follows the story of Viola, who, believing her brother is dead after a terrible shipwreck, goes undercover as a man named Cesario to take a position as Duke Orsino’s page. Orsino is in love with Olivia. Viola falls in love with Orsino and Olivia falls in love with Cesario. This would be bad enough but when Viola’s brother Sebastian arrives, chaos ensues.
Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare’s best romantic comedies and involves themes of gender, miscommunication, unrequited love, and desire.
Our production is set in the Regency Period and features a talented cast of women and non-binary actors.
Content warning: Depictions of armed conflict in the form of sword fighting, bullying; discussions of mourning the death of a sibling.
