Opia Theatre Productions
Presents
The Little Prince
Adapted from the beloved novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

July 1-3 at 7:30pm
Under the roof of the Rosebud Picnic Gazebo

This production of The Little Prince encourages curiosity and the inspired mind to see beyond our world. THE LITTLE PRINCE, adapted by local Alberta artist Kelsey Krogman, produced by Opia Theatre Productions starring local emerging artist, Anja Darien is sure to be magical and warm.

All guests must follow COVID-19 recommendations and protocols by wearing a mask and social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

THE LITTLE PRINCE is a beloved childhood tale. A playful story with philosophical undertones, The Little Prince explores what it means to have connection, love and child-like imagination across the universe and in the unlikeliest of places. This show will be performed live in the beautiful Rosebud Valley with live music amidst the valley’s natural landscape.

Here begins the journey of a young boy, a Prince from the stars, who adventures for the first time off his small planet and into the wide universe. The Prince meets many curious figures in the recounting of his journey; all from different planets across the cosmos including the fateful meeting of a lost aviator on one big planet called Earth. Their meeting unfolds into old stories, contemplative conversation, and the lesson of learning how to stay young. Both the Prince and the Aviator, while enchanted by their meeting, long for a way to make it safely back home.

“This show is the perfect project.” Producer Anja Darien comments,
“There is something in an old favourite story which builds a connection to the world around us. This little story might just awaken something inside that was thought to have been long gone. A something that children already understand. My hope is for audiences to feel the loving lull of curiosity and connection after being isolated for so long.

THE LITTLE PRINCE is a live theatre event that opens July 01 2021. Tickets are $15 and available by emailing Opiatheatreproductions@gmail.com.

All guests must follow COVID-19 recommendations and protocols by wearing a mask and social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
