News (Alberta): Potential Timing for Return of Audiences and Gatherings in Alberta

In mid-April a letter from Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health was circulated outlining a possible timeline for the return of audiences to live events. While cautioning that the situation in the province remains fluid, the letter outlines a progressive removal of restrictions on audience gatherings leading up to a return to full audience capacity by July, 2021. Hinshaw notes that the proposed timeline is contigent upon COVID-19 cases and pressures on the public health care system as well as progress on vaccinations in the province.
