Call for Submissions (Edmonton): AMTC Seeks Emerging Theatre Artists

CALLING #YEG EMERGING THEATRE PROFESSIONALS!

Alberta Musical Theatre Company is embarking on the creative process for a live-stream tour of a 1-person musical fairytale in the spring, and wants to provide an opportuntiy for mentorship to local emerging theatre professionals! We’re looking for an assistant director, assistant designer, assistant dramaturge and assistant stage manager! We are particularly keen to support Edmontonian emerging non-equity theatre professionals in the first years of their career.

All assistant positions will be compensated and will digitally shadow a theatre professional from the beginning of rehearsals on May 10th, to the end of a possible spring tour on June 11th.

We strongly encourage and enthusiastically welcome theatre professionals of all cultures and ethnicities, LGBTQIA2S+ theatre professionals, and theatre professionals with disabilities to express interest in these mentorship positions. Please feel free to be exactly who you are! We cannot wait to meet you!

To submit, send an email to artistic director Farren Timoteo at farren@albertamusicaltheatre.ca detailing your previous experience and your interest in one of the mentorship positions. A resumé is not required in the introductory phase. Positions will remain open until filled.
