Theatre Alberta members have already had free access to two incredible online resources for finding and reading plays through Drama Online with the Playwrights Canada Press and Aurora Metro Books collections. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve added three more Drama Online databases for you to browse and enjoy!

OBERON BOOKS COLLECTION
From ground-breaking British plays to the best of international drama and plays in translation, the Oberon Books Collection is a unique and inspiring collection that features a diverse gathering of canonical and contemporary drama.

NICK HERN BOOKS MODERN PLAYS
The Nick Hern Books Modern Plays collection includes over 625 plays from many of the UK and Ireland’s preeminent playwrights, as well as exciting new voices. It offers a wide and varied range of award-winning and widely studied plays, and is continually updated with new works fresh from leading theatres.

CRITICAL STUDIES AND PERFORMANCE PRACTICE
This collection features over 400 academic books from the prestigious Methuen Drama and The Arden Shakespeare imprints. Together they offer invaluable critical, contextual and pedagogic content from leading voices in theatre, performance and Shakespeare studies. The collection also includes 60 actor training videos through PATAZ: Physical Actor Training – an online A-Z.

Members can access these collections using the log-in information that was sent out earlier this year. Can’t find the info? Check in with our Librarian at library@theatrealberta.com and we’ll get you set up.
