Alberta Musical Theatre Company is inviting emerging musical theatre performers to audition for the upcoming season. AMTC is currently considering casting for a one-person musical adaptation of Hansel and Gretel that will live-stream to elementary schools as early as this spring and, if restrictions allow, a full-cast tour (3 performers and 1 piano player) of an in-person school tour of Hansel and Gretel in the winter 21/22.
How to submit:
To submit, please send an email containing your contact information, a description of your experience and training (a resume is not necessary), and a link to your audition material to farren@albertamusicaltheatre.ca before or by the deadline: 11:59 pm on April 24th, 2021.
Videos will be viewed and appraised by
Artistic Director, Farren Timoteo,
General Manager, Mackenzie Tennessen,
and Musical Director, Stephanie Urquhart.
What to Submit:
We request that audition participants prepare and perform one full musical theatre ballad under four minutes, as well as a comedic monologue. We also request a short introduction that describes a bit about who you are, including your training and experience.
Farren Timoteo is available for questions and consultation regarding the audition. Additionally, the audition rubric being used to appraise audition participants is available upon request.
