SideNote Theatre, with the support of Calgary Arts Development and the City of Calgary, is holding open auditions for the upcoming production of SCATTERED.


  • Feb 15-21 Gathering Initial Submissions
    Visit our website to submit your headshot and resume.
  • Feb 22 Audition Requirements Sent Out
    Once the team has reviewed your application, SideNote will send you your audition materials.
  • Feb 22-March 5 Submissions Continue
    We will begin accepting video submissions, and if you apply between these dates you will hear back from SideNote every 48 hours.
  • March 5 Auditions Close


Scattered is a Canadian one act, pop/rock musical about sisterhood, loss, and reconnecting with the people you used to love.


GRACE • 40s. Future thinker. Alto E3-D5
CALLIE • Mid 30s. Lives in the moment. Mezzo G#3-F#5
ANGELA • Late 20s. Focuses on the past. Soprano A3-G5
MOM • 40s. The voice of the sister’s mother. An elemental ghost. Soprano A3-C#6


  • The cast can be any combination of ethnicity, but must be female-identifying
  • The role of Callie may be played by a non-binary actor who is comfortable in a world that revolves around the experiences of sisters. An alternate text with adapted pronouns will be provided for auditions and the show.
  • The performer cast as Mom will only be required to record the vocal for the character, as she does not physically appear in the production.


  • The performers cast as Grace, Callie and Angela will receive a $500 honorarium
  • The performer cast as Mom will receive a $100 honorarium
