Join Morpheus Theatre for an introduction to stage management with Claire Bolton*.

From connecting and communicating with cast, crew, and production to setting up schedules; from calling a show to working in a digital world, this workshop will cover the basics of stage management. We will explore what it means to be a stage manager and how they are integral to a production.

This workshop is open to everyone regardless of stage management training, are you a performer who wants to know more about the different roles in a production? Are you a producer who is looking to set up schedules and be more organized? All are welcome!

*INSTRUCTOR BIO

Claire Bolton headshotClaire Bolton is a graduate of the University of Calgary’s Drama department (BFA ’09), and has made her career as a stage manager, performer, producer, and educator. Upon graduating she was granted an internship with Quest Theatre, and has remained a part of the company as a member of their Artist In Residency Program and Camp Coordinator. Along with being a member of these programs Claire is a teacher for Puddle of Mud Productions and a member of Calgary Opera’s Let’s Create An Opera Program. As a stage manager Claire has been fortunate to work with such amazing companies as Black Radish Theatre, Woezo Africa Dance Theatre, Vertigo Theatre, The Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society, The Shakespeare Company, Hit & Myth Productions, Cowtown Opera, Scorpio Theatre, Alberta Dance Theatre, Front Row Centre, and Cappuccino Musical Theatre.
