Recent COVID Restrictions

Due to the recently announced Alberta Health Services restrictions regarding COVID-19, we are suspending our live dinner and performance of A Christmas Carol from November 27 to December 6, at which point we will reassess safely reopening the show to the public if numbers in our region reduce to acceptable levels.

Please stay tuned for weekly updates. Go to https://www.rosebudtheatre.com/health-safety for more details.

Rosebud Theatre is thrilled to bring you Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol this holiday season. We’ve been busy working through details of how to safely offer a Christmas production because we miss the delight of entertaining audiences – and most importantly, we’ve really missed seeing all of you!

To date, we are the only Theatre company in Alberta offering A Christmas Carol live on stage. This visually stunning, one-person show embodies all the characters in Dickens’ story. We know it will be the perfect event to ease us safely into this new phase – where we can once again come together in community, albeit with safety and social distancing in place.

We have been working closely with Alberta Health Services to safely re-open. Please read all about the changes you’ll see when we welcome you back to Rosebud.

It’s Christmas Eve in Victorian England. A street-wise storyteller lights a candle and with a twinkle in his eye, invites us into the story of a miser who was meant to be a benefactor. His name is Ebenezer Scrooge, and on this very night he will be visited by three spirits. Using Dickens’ richly descriptive language, Nathan Schmidt imagines this well-known tale of redemption in a way that reawakens the time-honoured Christmas spirit it embodies.

Tickets include a delicious 4-course served dinner before the show.

Adult/Senior – $85. Youth (4-20 years) – $63. Theatre Only (no meal) -$55.
