Ghostlight Theatre Projects presents Fear the Festival, a brand-new horror arts festival! Under the leadership of Eunice Gatama and Isabella Derilo, Fear the Festival will run October 23-30 and will include work from BIPOC artists. We plan to have Feasts of Fear (official programming), a Fear-for-All cabaret, as well as BIPOC artist mixers and panels. This is a super new initiative but we are very excited to work it out!
How this festival will work is we are ticketing each day of the Feasts of Fear as Pay-What-You-Can tickets. Sign up for the day of programming you’d like to take in, and on the day of the programming we will send you a YouTube link with an unlisted playlist of that day’s content. This way, you can take in the playlist at your own pace and on your own schedule!
To grab tickets and for more information, check out our Eventbrite:
https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/fear-the-festival
We are also taking donations through our GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/fear-the-festival
Both our ticket and GoFundMe streams go towards our artists!
Each evening of the festival will include Night A or Night B programming. Here are the pieces on each night:
Night A:
This isn’t Home by Maezy Dennie (Multidisciplinary Short Film)
Don’t Ask Me + Child of the Sun by Tadiwa Nemutambwe (Spoken Word Poetry)
The Door by Alex Ariate (Video Diary Monologue)
afra-id by Sophia Iligan (One Woman Show)
