Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre is accepting script submissions from Edmonton Playwrights July 17th – Oct 15th 2020.

Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre is committed to supporting, developing and producing the work of Canadian playwrights. In 2020 we are paying special attention to our hometown. Starting July 17th Edmonton playwrights are invited to submit plays in process for dramaturgical support and production consideration.

Thanks to the support of the Edmonton Arts Council until Oct 2020 all submitted scripts will receive personalized one-on-one dramaturgical feedback from our Resident Dramaturg (Beth Graham) via phone or video conference, with the objectives of supporting writers goals, asking questions to inspire and ignite the development of the work, and assisting to chart the next steps of development including upcoming opportunities at WWPT and at other venues in the city and the province. This program is entirely free of charge.
