Presented by playwright and producer Louise Casemore, Words In Progress is an online event series featuring Calgary area playwrights reading and discussing new plays in development.

In a time when the path to the stage feels uncertain and being apart is the ongoing normal, Words In Progress provides space for connection between artists to share their thoughts and their work, offering insight into the creative processes driving the development of new plays.

More about Awo Taan:

The Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society is a Calgary region women’s shelter that provides services and programs to women and children from all cultures, who are fleeing and suffering from family violence, in a uniquely Aboriginal atmosphere. They provide a variety of services and programs including a 21 day emergency shelter, a 24 hour Crisis Line, Paediatric & Wellness Clinic, Child Support Program and Cultural Support within the shelter.

They also have a Family Wellness Centre that operates in South East Calgary which assists families in the community by providing a variety of parenting programs and other community supports to families with children ages 0 to 18 years of age. Programs include: Outreach Program, Youth & Family Support Program, Youth Mentorship Program, Family Violence Prevention Program, Anti-Bullying Initiative, Aboriginal Teachings and Healing Circles.
